But technical knowledge alone is not enough. Photography is in fact an art form. In the brief flicker of a camera shutter, you have to capture a single instant that summarizes long sequences of events, and do it in a way that pulls at the heart strings. A picture is not always equal to a thousand words; when you have only said one word, “WOW!”, we know we have done our job well.
