The Day After

Diana and Jesper’s friends from Sweden had a few parting pranks with the house before they left for home. They were locked out of the bedroom, the bed sheets were sewn together, all their shoes, clocks, and faucets wrapped in plastic wrap, the cat was painted orange, and the bathroom was covered in 700 Dixie cups full of water. And for good measure their folding extension ladder that Jesper needed to get up to the bedroom window was tie-wrapped, duct taped, locked together with a bicycle lock, and the key frozen inside an ice cube in the freezer! Fun!

Diana and Jesper’s Wedding

Here are some images that I took during our daughter Diana’s wedding day in Seattle on Sunday, plus those of Bryan Valiant of Amore Studios who did a great job with the wedding photo coverage.

Kristine, Bob, and Gavin

Monday we did an engagement shoot with a local family from Tenino. I chose several locations that fit in with their country western style, plus a few locations for young Gavin’s benefit. The park at Tumwater Falls also worked out well, with the water level low enough there in the Deschutes river that we were able to get access to a smaller waterfall that ordinarily could never be photographed so easily. Though I might mention it did require some courage from Kristine to get across one side channel to the falls. She displayed that true pioneer spirit very well!

Carolyn and Matthew’s Engagement Shoot

Tuesday we met Carolyn and Matthew at the Pt. Defiance Rose Gardens after they got off work. This park is great with several ponds, bridges, and gardens full of flowers in bloom. A veritable Garden of Eden for a beautiful young couple beginning their lives together.

Baby Zoe

We spent this past weekend in Cannon Beach, WA at the Haystack Inn with our friends Bryan and Melody. Little Zoe was a great subject for baby photography as she lay there on the living room floor. She was good at lifting herself up on her arms, but has not yet mastered crawling. She has so much to learn. But you can tell from the photos she is definitely interested in everything around her. She’s a sweetie!

Bikers Need Love Too!

I wish I’d asked their names, but anyway, here are some shots I took of a couple of Harley riders we met at the Grays River covered bridge on the way down to Cannon Beach.
It would be super cool to do a Biker’s rally or wedding someday!
