Mey & Ramon’s Engagement Shoot

We met up with Mey and Ramon at the University of Washington for this shoot. There were definitely concerns about being rained out on this one, but our timing was perfect. The sun broke though the clouds and really completed the springtime air about the whole campus. Flowering trees everywhere. Mey gave us quite the workout as we hoofed it a high speed up and down the paths and streets on and around the campus. But WOW! That is one cool place for for engagement photos. You be the judge.

But, honey! All I want is a little kiss!

Infra Red Photography

Well, since I do get days off now and then (I deserve it), today being a beautiful sunny day in Olympia, I took off down to the state capitol for a little photo shoot with my infrared camera. If only I’d had a young couple along to model for me, because the cherry trees there are in full magnificent bloom. Instead I made like a tourist and snapped away at some of the cool memorials and the awesome totem pole there on the capitol grounds. The IR color spectrum, invisible to most cameras, created a most unique look to the shots. Very novel! I had fun with it. I hope you enjoy them as well.

Alison and Brian’s Wedding

On March 29th Alison and Brian were married at the Masonic Reception Center in Tumwater. Though the venue was comfortable and spacious, it really needed some cheer and celebration, provided in ample supply by the wonderful personalities of Brian and Alison, and their guests. I chose to blog these particular images because they seem to capture so well the life and spirit of this special occasion. BTW, you can click on any of the photos to enlarge them.

First sight of Alison in her wedding gown.

Alison and Brian’s Wedding Cake

You wouldn’t think a simple wedding cake could look so beautiful, but I was struck by the pattern of sunlight falling upon Alison’s cake. The venetian blinds filtered the light in a most unique way.
